With a strong foundation in finance and real estate, Naftali Sturm’s career began after completing a Bachelor of Administrative Studies in Finance at York University and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business. He joined SmartCentres as Vice President of Finance, where he played a key role in scaling the company’s real estate operations nationwide. He then spent over a decade at RioCan REIT as Vice President of Real Estate Finance, leading capital planning, financial modeling, and strategic budgeting for a multibillion-dollar commercial property portfolio.

These roles honed Naftali’s expertise in investment analysis, long-range financial forecasting, and regulatory compliance. At RioCan, he led valuation and due diligence efforts for major acquisitions and joint ventures, employing detailed ROI and IRR modeling. His leadership ensured effective cash flow management, alignment of capital deployment with market cycles, and the successful navigation of multiple financial audits and regulatory reviews.

Today, Naftali serves as Chief Financial Officer at both Firmpay FX and Baronet Capital Family Office. At Firmpay FX, a fintech firm, he oversees financial operations, compliance, and liquidity management, supporting rapid growth in a dynamic regulatory environment. At Baronet Capital, he manages investment strategy, asset oversight, and long-term capital planning for a diversified private portfolio.

Across all roles, Naftali has maintained a focus on transparency, strategic communication, and operational excellence.
